The question is are essential oils really work or they are just expensive perfumed fraud?
What Are Essential Oils?
Essential oils are high concentrated form of physical properties of plants and flowers. For extracting the volatile constituents of the plant’s flowers, leaves, branches, or roots has been used different processes of distillation.
Terpenes alcohols, esters, ketones, aldehydes, and phenols are the most well-known group of chemical components found in essential oil. Most of the essential oils are antioxidant, antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral and anti-inflammatory. Some essential oils has great value of antioxidant, for example in ounce of Clove Oil there is 450 lbs of carrots, 120 quarts of blueberries or 48 gallons of beet juice.
Essential oils contains three types of terpenes: Phenylpropanoids (also called Hemiterpenes), Monoterpenes, and Sesquiterpenes.
Phenylpropanoids: These terpenes can create unfriendly conditions for bacteria, viruses and fungi. They can be found in Clove (90%), Cassia (80%), Basil (75%), Cinnamon (73%), Oregano (60%), Anise (50%), and Peppermint (25%). The most important thing is that phenylpropanoids clean the receptor sites on the cells. If the receptor site of the cells in unclean than they cannot communicate, and the body breakdowns which is causing diseases.
Monoterpenes: Most essential oils contain monoterpenes. They can offer a lot of healing properties, but the mail ability is that they can reprogram miswritten information in the cellular memory. The improper coding in the DNS can result to cell malfunction and disease like cancer.
Sesquiterpenes: These molecules deliver oxygen to your tissues and they can be found in Cedarwood (98%), Vetiver (97%), Spikenard (93%), Sandalwood (Aloes) 90%, Black Pepper (74%), Patchouli (71%), Myrrh (62%), and Ginger (59%), Frankincense (8%). Cancer, viruses and bacteria cannot survive in an oxygenated area. Also as monoterpenes, Sesquiterpenes can delete and reprogram the miswritten codes in the DNA.
Essential oils will not encourage “superbugs”
It has been proven that bacteria can mutate to create different sorts of resistant strains of ‘superbugs’ to adjust to the toxic antibiotic medicines. But essential oils have never formed a superbug. There are a lot of studies that clinically proved the effect against almost all bacteria, counting MRSA and some other superbugs
The essential oils have antiseptic properties against bacteria that a resistant to medicaments. One study presented at the Society for General Microbiology’s spring meeting in Edinburgh has shown that essential oils of thyme and cinnamon are very efficient antibacterial agent against drug resistant Staphylococcus species which are difficult to treat.
Another study of Science Daily, a Georgetown University found that germ-killing properties of oregano oil have same effect as most drugs –Including vancomycin – for curing antibiotic-resistant superbugs like E.coli, Salmonella, MRSA and flesh-eating bacteria.
The causes of disease by essential oils is cellular level. Essential oils can enter the cellular wall and chase away viruses, while antibiotics can only kill bacteria outside of the cellular wall. Just one drop of essential oil has enough molecules to cover every cell in our body. Only one molecule can open a receptor site in out organism and communicate with DNA to change cellular function.
Essential oils can enter the body by many avenues.

Because they are small they can enter the body through the skin and go in all places in your body. Essential oils can enter the body through lungs and disperse all over the body in a way that the other medicines are unable to do.
You can diffuse them, put topically, add to your food, and add to your bath. Essential oils can work on all these interfaces at once, unlike conventional drugs. They can be used to treat all sort of disease from acne and allergies, to headaches and indigestion. Just a couple of drops on your wrists, hands, abdomen, feet, or lower back will relieve toy from a lot of illness.
Essential oils can erase misinformation in our cells.
Essential oils can cleat the receptor sites on the cells which is used for better communication between cells. They can delete the incorrect DNA and then correct it.
Essential Oils can change your nervous system biochemistry.
There is a study in Japan saying that with breathing in essential oils can moderate your sympathetic nervous system activity. Some oils can act stimulating, while other can be calming. Dr. Mercola is giving us examples:
- Black pepper, fennel, and grapefruit oil caused a 1.5-to 2.5-fold raise in sympathetic nervous system activity (as measured by an increase in systolic blood pressure)
- Rose and patchouli oil can cause 40 percent rise in sympathetic nervous system activity
- Pepper oil made a 1.7-fold rise in plasma adrenaline concentration, while rose oil caused adrenaline to drop by 30 percent
- Other oils have been shown to evidently drop stress hormones—breathe in lavender and rosemary can reduce cortisol levels.25
When buying essential oils, remember that they are not the same as synthetic fragrance oils, which are not safe for skin using. Pure essential oil are always natural.
A lot of oils need to be diluted with a “carrier oil” like coconut oil, which is a base to put a couple of drops from other essential oil.
The baby’s and children’s skin is more sensitive to the effects so when using essential oils on them, always use carrier oil.
