Broccoli and spinach are the main source of fiber so increase these when you have gout. Your doctor will advise you to stop eating vegetables rich with purine such as mushrooms, peas, and asparagus. Add fruits to your diet because this will help you gain energy.

Protein intake:

There are some cases where people had gout because of low protein. Increase intake of food high in protein, but avoid beef and pork because they increase uric acid levels. Egg, tofu, and chickpeas are some of the recommended foods that you should eat.

Cherries:

Research says that cherries are better treatment for gout. A study conducted in year 2010 found patient who ate cherries for 4 months had reduce saturation of gout. Cherries help decrease level of gout and reduce inflammation.

Water:

Water is probably the safest compound with no side effects. A study revealed that People who had high consumption of water were able to minimize effects of gout. If you are a heart patient then water consumption will reduce heart attacks. It is recommended that you should consume 5 to 8 glass of water per day. You can also adjust water intake based on your physical abilities and recommendation from doctor.
